Here’s how it works

  • Apply

    Early child care providers have the option to submit their applications for the Child Care Accelerate business support program either online or via phone. Applicants who fulfill the requirements will be invited to complete a phone screen.

  • Onboard

    Successful candidates will sit down with our lead business coach to go over the program details, set goals, and discuss next steps together. All you need to do is submit the necessary paperwork and get ready to take the Business Health Assessment.

  • Strategic Planning

    Upon finishing the Business Health Assessment, you will receive a Development, Improvement, and Sustainability Plan (DISP). This personalized plan serves as a strategic roadmap, guiding you throughout your coaching journey with actionable steps.

  • Facility Review

    A member of the Child Care Accelerate team will arrange an onsite visit to conduct a comprehensive walk-through and assess the current state of your child care center. This step is super important—it helps set the stage for grant planning.

  • Coaching Sessions

    You’ll be paired with mentors and receive back-office support tailored to your specific business goals and priorities. Your weekly coaching sessions are all about guiding you through any business challenges you might face.

  • Grant Planning

    Child care providers who qualify will meet with our program team to go over the required paperwork needed to secure the grant fund, create a budget outline, and prepare a plan detailing how the funds will be used.

  • Child Care Accelerate is a business support program designed to help New Hampshire child care providers optimize their business operations and better meet the demands of their community.

  • Child Care Accelerate is for New Hampshire-based licensed and licensed-exempt child care providers and Head Start/Early Head Start center-based programs.

  • Child Care Accelerate is a completely self-paced program. Once a child care provider is accepted to the program, it will take approximately two months to complete the program. Each provider will work with a dedicated team member, business coach, and group of mentors throughout their program journey.

  • Child Care Accelerate is a two-month business intensive. Business owners should set aside 3-5 hours per week to commit to the program. This time may be spent on coaching sessions, working directly with service providers, and self-directed research and strategy.

  • This program costs are completely subsidized and provided at no cost to qualified and committed child care providers.

  • We would never want you to be unhappy! If you are unsatisfied with our program, contact us in the first two weeks of program acceptance and we’ll work with you to discuss and assess your business needs.

  • The Opportunities to Succeed (OTS) grants are designed to support the recommendations developed from the provider’s business self-assessment and to implement the guidance of the mentors and back office service providers. Providers must participate in full to be eligible for OTS grants. For more information about the grant, visit the OTS Grants page.

  • We handpick mentors with top-notch expertise, proven through their experience and stellar mentoring skills. You will be paired with mentors and service providers based on your unique needs, ensuring a tailored partnership that's both professional and supportive.

  • Each provider will work with an experienced and trained coach through on-site visits and virtual consultations (approximately eight sessions). These sessions will be scheduled at times that work for the provider and will focus on goals and activities that are specifically tailored to self-identified needs.

  • We believe that business coaching and community is a long-term relationship. Each participating child care provider will have ongoing access to the program’s business resources and continuing education offerings.

  • Child Care Accelerate is made possible with support from the State of New Hampshire, Department of Health and Human Services.
